God’s description of the mother is in the heart of her home. The Hebrew word literally means “in the recesses of the home.” She is not on the periphery of her home, running here and there, but in the heart. Dear mother, you may feel you are hidden away and not accomplishing much. I want to remind you that you are doing a powerful work that impacts the nation. You are training and raising godly children who will go out into this world to reveal the image and glory of God and bring God’s righteousness and justice to the land. Mothers determine the destiny of the nation. You are doing the greatest work as you nurture and train your children and manage your home.
