BUILDING MEN, Day 5

KNOWLEDGE IS COMMUNICATED! FRIENDSHIP IS MAINTAINED! LEGACY IS PASSED DOWN!

As young boys, my dad would often tell us before going to bed, 'Goodnight FRIENDS!" And It was true! I grew up being best friends with my dad. None of my friends were ever as cool as my dad which is the way it's supposed to be.

In fact, most of my friends couldn't even compete with my dad's "hero factor." Sure, he wasn't trendy like the rest of them, but he was confident in his outdatedness. Dad was stronger, could do things faster, and was far more adventurous then any of the young guys I hung out with-and that's saying something, because they were all pretty good dudes!

A good dad will never have to compete with other influencers over his son's mind because every son instinctively wants to believe that his dad is a hero! Deep inside, every son wants to brag on his dad because it means his last name represents valor!

There is a personal confidence that young men receive when they believe they have a legendary legacy.

Fathers, BE AWESOME DADS!

Proverbs 22:1 (ESV): "A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches and favor is better than silver or gold!"
