13) If you have a problem opening jars: Try using latex dish washing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

15) To get rid of itch from mosquito bite: try applying soap on the area, instant relief.

16) Ants, ants, ants everywhere ... Well, they are said to never cross a chalk line. So get your chalk out and draw a line on the floor or wherever ants tend to march. See for yourself.

17) When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to tweezers. Simply put a piece of tape over the splinter and pull. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily.

18) Look what you can do with Alka-Seltzer: To clean a toilet, drop in two Alka-Seltzer tablets, wait twenty minutes, brush, and flush.

19) Clean a vase - to remove a stain from the bottom of a glass vase or cruet, fill with water and drop in two Alka-Seltzer tablets.

21) Clean a thermos bottle - fill the bottle with water, drop in four Alka-Seltzer tablets and let soak for an hour (or longer, if necessary).

22) To unclog a drain, drop three Alka-Seltzer tablets down the drain followed by a cup of Heinz white Vinegar. Wait a few minutes, then run the hot water.

23) The best distinguishing agent for fire in the kitchen is baking soda. Use a whole box if needed.

24) If you store candles in the freezer, they burn longer (and incidentally, drip less).

25) Don’t throw out your potato water. After cooking your potatoes, save the water. You can place in it your jewelry or tarnished silver. Leave for 30 minutes. Take out and they will wipe clean and sparkly.
