Seven times in Psalm 119 it tells us that God's Word will revive us. The Hebrew word is "chayah" and is full of meaning. God's Word has power to not only revive you, but to rebuild, restore, repair, recover, refresh, renew, recreate, revitalize, replenish, reform, return, rearrange, redirect, retrain, refine, and yes, reprove you!
In the midst of your busy life you long for refreshing. You dream of having some time on your own, taking a relaxing bath, going out to dinner, or watching a wholesome movie, But, the greatest way to get refreshed is often our last resort. It is opening God's Word!
