Out of...Into..., Pt. 4 - No. 127
Deuteronomy 4:37-38, “He brought you out of Egypt with his Presence, with his mighty power, driving out from before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land as an inheritance.”
What a wonderful promise. God brings us out of the clutches of Satan and out of our problems with His Presence and His mighty power.
OUT OF WORRY INTO PRAYER
“Did I read correctly?” you answer. Yes, it is true. Worry does not belong to the kingdom of God. Worry belongs to the old kingdom from which you have been delivered by God’s mighty power.
Unfortunately, worry has become such a habit of our lives that it is hard to break. “What can I do if I can’t worry? I’ve got to do something!” you say. As someone has said, “Worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do but doesn’t get you anywhere.”
God has provided a wonderful weapon for us in the gift of prayer. Prayer is a gift. It is God’s to you. He has put the incredible privilege of prayer into your hands. He has given you this tool, not only fellowship with Him, but to turn His heart. He brings deliverance through prayer. He turns people, circumstances and even nations upside down through prayer. He changes our own hearts through prayer.
The confession of the old kingdom is, “Why pray when I can worry?” Our confession in God’s kingdom should be, “Why worry when I can pray?” We are to live in a world of prayer for we belong to a kingdom of prayer. Philippians 4:6 NLT says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.” Over and over and over again, God encourages us to “Trust in the Lord.”
Worry brings us into despair. Prayer brings us in touch with the supernatural power of God.
You either trust or worry. You either pray or worry. You choose.
OUT OF FEAR INTO FAITH
Fear is crippling. It is a tormenting enemy. It is Satan’s tool and belongs to his kingdom of darkness. But are you getting the message? God has delivered you out of Satan’s kingdom into His glorious kingdom. He has delivered out of the power of fear into the realm of faith. When fears begin to overpower your mind and soul, rebuke them in the name of Jesus. They do not belong to you. Jesus has already died to deliver you from them.
2 Timothy 1:7 explicitly tells us that “God has not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
David confesses in Psalm 34:4, “I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” Not just some fears, but all his fears!
I know that fears can seem overwhelming. But they are totally deceiving. Satan always uses deception to pull us down. Put on your shield of faith. Rebuke the fears. Claim the promises of God. Thank God for delivering you from all your fears. Thank Him for the victory. Thank Him for His presence in your life. When you thank the Lord, it releases faith. It will take you out of fear and into faith.

PRAYER:
“I thank you, Lord, that I no longer belong to the kingdom of darkness. You have delivered me through the power of your death upon the cross. You have delivered me from all my fears. I claim this truth and receive it in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
AFFIRMATION:
I will trust and obey, for there’s no other way,
To be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey.
