WHAT MORE DO WE NEED?
In what is our trust? The arm of our flesh or the arm of God?
We so often resort to our own flesh, or our own arm, don't we?
In Job 40:9 God asks the question, "Hast thou an arm like God?" Why trust in our own flesh when God has promised to be our arm every morning (Isaiah 2:22)?
Isaiah 33:2 ESV says, "O Lord, be gracious to us, we wait for you. Be our ARM EVERY MORNING, our salvation in the time of trouble." God's arm speaks of His strength and might. How wonderful to wake up each morning and know that God is ready with His mighty right arm to watch over us and protect us.
With His mighty right arm He has promised to...
- Sustain me (Psalm 37:24; Isaiah 41:10)
- Strengthen me (Psalm 89:21)
- Lead me (Palm 139:10; Jeremiah 31:32)
- Hold me securely (Psalm 139:10)
- Hold my right hand (Isaiah 41: 13; 42:6)
What more do we want?
